How could they make their home bigger, and better? And, which construction company would be the right choice?
Step forward the team at Home Republic. Engaged by our client not only from evidence and testimonials from our previous higher-end project work, but also for our proactive project and client management, we took on a complete top-to-toe re-build.
In fact, only a small proportion of the original building is still standing.

Our Remit
Here, we drew on the skills of an overall team of between ten to 12 construction and trades specialists, including a project manager.
NO external designers were involved. We took complete design direction from our client, with, as you can see, superb results. The team was also happy to work in close, collaborative partnership with RESI Architects, a practice whose high standards and approach dovetail with ours.
Also, bear in mind that this project was undertaken with the rigorous restrictions to which we needed to adhere during the pandemic. It goes without saying that we made no compromises on the safety of our client, our working partners nor any of our team.
In a nutshell, Home Republic took on the task of knocking everything down, to coin a phrase — and then re-building, literally from the ground up. Our work involved new-build construction, both inside and out.
What We Did
Let’s start with the outside back space — one of this fabulous house’s most striking features. There’s a brand-new multi-layered garden, courtesy of our partner-architects and the HR team. It has a terrace at the top, with each «layer» joined by a luxurious, solid hardwood staircase. The garden also has composite decking and fencing.
Glass balustrades add an extravagant-looking touch.
A sport’s lovers’ dream...we’re staying in the garden to tell you all about the sports area in the garden, including an area to shoot baskets. At the back of the house, thanks to a large extension, is a gym, and a pool playing areas. The client can easily access the garden and a wonderful space to entertain friends at a BBQ area just outside the property.
There’s now plenty of external space to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and for children to run around and play.
The sizeable extension also accommodates an incredibly chich and stylish, bespoke kitchen, a dining area and a stunning conservatory.
For superb family living, we built a number of bathrooms and ensuite bathrooms, all to the client’s contemporary homestyle tastes.
We’re pleased to report that, as usual, we had an exceptionally good working relationship with our client, who was fully committed at each and every stage of the scheme; a response, we feel due to our proactive approach to customer management.
The Result
A different, vastly enhanced home, perfectly designed and constructed to the highest possible standards. What an ideal solution for a family who love the local area, yet needed somewhere «new» to live. The very essence perhaps of the old adage, «don’t move, improve».
The look throughout? Bright, clean, light — and simply outstanding.
