This fine property stands in a quiet, private road in a much sought-after area in the South East. The house, although already large and well-appointed, was no longer meeting our clients’ needs. They felt that it was time to invest in major construction works for a more «liveable» outlook for their home.
In other words, to engage a high-end building business for an across-the-board upgrade. They were ready to turn their dreams into reality, and could Home Republic help them?
Well, of course we could.
And, we did.
We achieved everything in 9 months, with an overall team of 18, including a project manager. This, despite the added challenges brought about by Covid, and its resulting supply chain issues

Our Remit
In general, this attractive period property had a number unconnected, separate spaces. It needed streamlining into a more cohesive family-friendly whole. From the garden to the bedrooms, there was a great deal of work to do.
Our clients decided to engage us to deliver a full house extension, re-modelling and refurbishment project. We were asked completely to re-model their home, and to take it from good — to absolutely perfect.
What We Did
After securing planning permission, and further to our in-depth project planning processes, we set about to change this large house entirely to our clients’ brief. Home Republic was happy to work in close collaboration with an experienced local architect throughout.
We built a stunning two-storey rear-to-side extension, as well as a loft extension to create extra space. On the first floor, the team added a luxurious master bedroom, with a walk-in wardrobe; and of course, an opulent ensuite bathroom.
Then, Home Republic converted the roof space, and introduced two separate bedrooms, a children’s playroom and additional bathrooms.
The downstairs further reflects our skills:
The client now has a large, fully bespoke kitchen, with a separate entrance to the dining room for added convenience and better use. They also have a new, distinct utility room.
Further, there are unusual wooden-style bi-folding doors — an unusual material (these would normally be aluminium), but highly effective as a way to modernise, yet keep a traditional feel at the same time.
In addition to our wide range of in-house skills, we also recommended other specialists. For example, roof lighting experts whose unique designs now grace this fine property throughout.
Likewise, an interior designer whose elegant style can be seen from top to bottom. As you can see from the images, the quality of the materials used is second-to-none.
As experienced hard landscapers, Home Republic has been delighted to create a beautiful, easy-to-access patio and garden area for the family to relax and enjoy the outside.
